We have had more problems with Cams eye this week and the steriod drops are just not doing their job the growth contines to cause him discomfort and his eye has become swollen from the pressure !!!
So there is now a new plan and one that we are having difficulties getting our head round. Cam will now need steriod injections ! The injections are the kind that go under the skin not ito muscle so they will sing when they are adminstered. The plan is to start in November and start with 1 a week and then reassess.
This is a huge step for us and a step that I so hoped we would never have to take. The side effects of steriods are vast and will heighten his difficulties with his autism!!
Im sure we can and will manage this new challenge. To start with we are not going to try and adminster the steriod ourselves I prefer to give the hospital that responsibility.
So heres hoping that steriods give him the chance of a normal life he deserves!!
