It looks like Santa delivered a miracle recovery in with Camerons presents as since xmas eve he has been back to his usual self. Im so relieved that we dont need a hospital stay and its great to see him back on his feet again !!!
We are thinking about taking the kids out for the day tomorrow depends on if Wayne gets over his man flu though !!
I am a very relieved happy little person today.
Sadder news today though I have a few friends who are fellow oncology moms and we learnt today that sadly one of the brave little men has had a relapse the family are now desperately trying to raise $350,000 for treatment in the U.S.A that they just cant get in the U.K - its disgusting really as his chance of survival in UK is just 20% that climbs to 70% if he gets the treatment in the USA.
I just cant imagine what that must feel like - its every oncology moms nightmare that your child relapses but for the chance of survival to come down to money is just beyond my imagination.
Its days like today that we all grab our kids and give them a extra big squeeze and sloppy kiss just so that they know how loved they truly are !!
Really wish there was a rhyme and reason for why so many little ones have to suffer to cancer its really not fair !!!
Someone once said to me its because we are strong and able to handle whatever life throws our way and others have an easy path at life because they dont have that strength - well I for one (and im sure all other oncology moms agree) will take the easy path thanks and wear a badge saying I am weak if the fear of a relapse goes away !!
Mixed day today but pleased that Cam is feeling better and we are out to grab every second left of the holidays to keep making those memories.
